A
good and loving marriage does not happen automatically just
because the two of you walked down the aisle, stood before a
preacher and quoted your vows. Nor does it happen because each
of you said I do, exchanged wedding rings, kissed, and went
on a honeymoon. None of these things guarantee a good and loving
marriage. A good and loving marriage is energized by a steady
flow of love between a husband and wife. Remember, I said a
steady flow, which means continually or ongoing. You cannot
shut down on your marriage and think that it will be exciting
or enjoyable.
Men and women have God-given
needs that can only be fulfilled when love is communicated or
expressed. There should be a desire in us to reach fulfillment
in our marriage. In order to experience true fulfillment in
a marriage, you must tap into God’s vision for marriage.
